Shelton Herb Farm is a garden, farm and farm stand just west of Wilmington, North Carolina in Brunswick County. Owners Margaret and Chuck Shelton grow a variety of herbs, salad greens, cut flowers, vegetables and perennials for local restaurants, farmer's markets, and farm visitors.
The Farm property has been in the family for 200 years. The old house currently serves as the Farm office, while Margaret's Grandfather's Doctor's office stands nearby. Margaret started the farm in 1986, and has been tilling up new ground ever since. Heritage Produce, a CSA produce farm, opened in 2010 across the street from the Herb Farm on Shelton property.
Shelton Herb Farm specializes in herbs and vegetables, with a few perennials in the mix. Visitors can purchase transplants of vegetables, herbs and flowers year-round. Margaret is especially proud of her cool weather availability of greens, microgreens, and transplants.
Visitors are welcome Monday-Saturday, 8am-5pm. For more information and directions, click here.
